Trump’s first 100 days: This chart predicts a perfect storm of economic crises

President Trump, just like Barack Obama, entered office with great expectations and, in some cases, even greater promises.

In his first 100 days, Trump has already had some high-profile setbacks — his two travel bans, which have been temporarily halted by two federal court judges, and his attempt to repeal and replace Obamacare, which was pulled before Congress was expected to vote it down. And Trump launched a missile strike against Syrian military targets earlier this month in response to a chemical attack on the Syrian people by the Syrian government. But his domestic challenges may loom larger, argues Charles Hugh Smith, a financial blogger on, political commentator and co-author of “Leverage: How Cheap Money Will Destroy the World.”
